Just
this side of Heaven is
a place called Rainbow
Bridge. It is called the
Rainbow Bridge because
of its many colours. When
a beloved pet dies they
go an wait at Rainbow
Bridge.
There
are meadows and hills
for all of our special
friends so they can run
and play together. There
is plenty of food, water
and sunshine and our friends
are warm and comfortable.
All the pets who had been
ill and old are restored
to health and vigour,
those who were hurt or
maimed are made whole
and strong again, just
as we remember them in
our dreams of days and
times gone by.
They are happy and content,
except for one small thing;
they each miss someone
very special, someone
who was left behind. They
all run and play together,
but the day comes when
one suddenly stops and
looks into the distance.
The nose twitches, the
ears are up, his bright
eyes are intent and his
eager body begins to quiver.
Suddenly, he breaks from
the group, flying over
the green grass, faster
and faster.
You have been spotted,
and when you and your
special friend finally
meet, you cling together
in joyous reunion, never
to be parted again. The
happy kisses rain upon
your face, your hands
again caress the beloved
head and you look once
more into those trusting
eyes, so long gone from
your life, but never absent
from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow
Bridge together, never
again to be separated.
Two
very touching poems that
say it all
"With
a heavy heart"
With
a heavy heart, and
a tear in my eye,
after all these
years, we must say
goodbye.
Please understand,
we've done all we
could,
if there was anything
we could do, you
know we would.
I'm
sitting right here,
gently rubbing your
ears,
while I talk to
you softly, trying
to hold back the
tears.
The memories you
gave us, we'll never
forget,
especially the one
of the day we met.
One last hug and
one last kiss,
you have no idea
how much you'll
be missed.
To look into your
eyes this last time,
You tell me it's
OK, you know it's
your time.
Close
your eyes now and
go to sleep,
we'll pray to the
Lord, your soul
he'll keep.
Go in peace now,
our good friend,
we'll stay right
here with you until
the end.
Dream of that special
day and time,
when we meet at
the Bridge, and
all will be fine.
We run and play,
side by side,
with a soft warm
feeling down inside.
Your
memory will live
on, in each one
of us,
You'll always be
number one to all
of us.
Have
a safe journey through
the night,
I promise when you
awake, you'll be
in God's light.
So with a heavy
heart and a tear
in my eye,
just for now my
friend, we say goodbye.....
(John
Quealy) |
If
it should be that
I grow frail and
weak
And pain should
keep me from my
sleep
Then you must do
what must be done
For this the last
battle cannot be
won
You
will be sad - I
understand
Do not let your
grief then stay
your hand
For this day more
than the rest
Your love and friendship
stands the test
We've
had so many happy
years
What is to come
can hold no fears
You do not want
me to suffer so
When the time comes,
please let me go
Take
me where my needs
they will tend
Only stay with me
until the end
Hold me firm and
speak to me
Until my eyes no
longer see
I
know in time you
too will see
It is kindness you
do to me
Although my tail
its last has waved
From pain and suffering
I have been saved
Do
not grieve that
it should be you
Who has to decide
this thing to do?
We've been so close
- we two through
the years
Don't let your heart
hold any tears

It is with great sadness that we have another star in the night sky tonight - Tempest who sadly passed away after suffering a blood clot, she is now at Rainbow
Bridge, with her sister Boots.
This is what Amanda had to say ....... "just to let you know we lost our Tempest last night - got home and she was laying in the hall unable to move her back legs. Vet said there was nothing we could have done, no trauma, just a random blood clot. Such a shock and she was a beautiful and loving girl. She will leave a hole in our hearts and will be hugely missed ..... but we are grateful for the few years we got to spend with her."
Amanda and Tony, Tempest will always be with you, in your heart and your memories.

Razzi
& Boris |
My
favourite photo
of Boris |
It
was with great sadness
that we have another
star in the night
sky tonight - our
beautiful Boris
who tradically had
an accident which
meant he is now
at Rainbow Bridge.
Boris
lived with Claire,
Chris and Thomas
and of course his
feline friend Razzi
and this is what
Claire had to say
:- "Unfortunately
I am having to email
with some tragic
news of beautiful
Boris. On Monday
early evening, it
seems Boris had
some sort of accident,
probably a fall
from a tree. Chris
returned home early
from work at 6.20pm
to find Razzi looking
after Boris on the
grass by our drive
but he was unable
to move. He was
taken straight to
the vet by Chris
and the vet confirmed
he had a broken
back and other internal
injuries. There
was nothing that
could be done to
save him and the
vet put him to sleep
just after 7pm.
There
was not a mark or
a bruise on his
body and the vet
said his injuries
were consistent
with that of a fall.
As
you can imagine,
the whole family
are utterly devastated
by this as we really
don't know exactly
what happened. Nearly
a week on and he
has left a massive
hole in our lives.
Of our two Siberians,
(and I know you
should never have
a favourite) Boris
was my personal
no.1. I think because
he was such a fighter
after the tough
start in life. He
was a real softie
and a people person
too and we used
to love the way
he'd amble in and
roll over onto his
back to have his
tummy rubbed. He
was also Tom's favourite,
lying just out of
reach and taking
an interest in all
his toys. He used
to laugh out loud
at Boris too, he
found him so funny
for some reason.
He was also so good
at being "stroked"
by Tom and never
once did anything
to hurt anyone.
Tom has lost his
best buddy and future
partner in crime.
Our only consolation
is that Razzi looked
after him before
he was found and
at least we did
find him.
I'm
so sorry to send
this awful news.
It's taken me nearly
a week to be able
to do so. I don't
think he could have
been more adored.
I enclose the last
few pictures we
have of him."
Claire,
Boris will always
be with you, in
your heart and your
memories. Goodnight
sweetheart - enjoy
the butterflies

Charlie

is what she had
to say :- I am not
sure how to say
this, but we came
home this morning
to awful heartbreaking
news. Charlie died
on monday night,
he just looked like
he was just asleep.
I am just heartbroken,
and just praying
my big boy didn't
suffer in anyway.
Its such a shock.

Another
star in the night
sky tonight - my
beautiful Lily had
been rehomed with
Sue a few years
ago and was a constant
companion to her
and Basil and more
recently Alec. The
photo of Lily in
the garden was one
of Sue's favourites.
This
is what Sue had
to say about Lily
- "she became
unwell with kidney
failure and showed
signs of a tumour.
Despite being on
a drip she still
deteriorated and
stopped eating.
She was on painkillers
but still in pain
and uncomfortable.
The hardest decision
in the world is
to end a life, especially
of one you love.
However it is the
kindest thing when
the one you love
is suffering.
I
hate having to tell
you this Lynne,
but you know I loved
her as much as you
did, and shall miss
her meercat like
ways when she wanted
something; laughing
at her having a
funny 5 minutes
thundering round
the house and emptying
her toy box to find
the one she liked
best on that day;
her noisey demands
when she wanted
attention, her loud
contented purr when
stroked and cuddled
and her beautiful
face to look at."
Thank
you Sue for giving
Lily a happy life,
she will always
be with you, you
know. Goodnight

the butterflies
at The Bridge and

Yet
another star in
the night sky as
we had to say goodbye,
very unexpectedly,
to our lovely Darcey.
We have had many
laughs over the
years with Darcey
who had been a wonderful
mum to the two litters
she had and of course
to the two Lyndongraey
babies we still
have here, Sebastian
and Topaz. Unfortunately
Topaz is feeling
very lost at the
moment, wandering
around crying and
looking for her
mum - it is very
hard to watch.
Darcey
was such a lovely
girl who enjoyed
meeting everyone,
she loved all the
cuddles and biscuits
she got from people
when we represented
the breed at Game
Fairs and Discover
Dogs over the years.
She also did very
well with her training
with the Mid Sussex
Working Spaniel
Club and proved
to be quite successful
hunting in the field.
She also acheived
the Kennel Club's
Good Citizens Bronze
and Silver awards
- she was always
up for things and
enjoyed getting
stuck in and this
is what we will
miss about her.
We
also want to thank
Pam and the late
Clive Rowland from
the Rhiwlas Kennel
who allowed us to
have two wonderful
dogs from them,
who are now both
at The Bridge -
Darcey you go and
find Freya and all
our other Lyndongraey
babies who will
look after you until
we meet again. Good
night and god bless
you sweetheart xx
The
above two photos
were the last ones
we have of Darcey

we thought you may

Decci
with Marcus and
Andy |
Another
star in heaven as
we had to say goodbye
to Decorum or Decci
for short. She belonged
to my sister, Vicky
and had grown up
with her. As you
can see from the
above photos she
had been through
the wars a bit,
losing her eye but
you could still
see her at night!!
Below is what Vicky
had to say about
her beloved cat,
Decci.
"I
know you have heard
about poor little
Decci. Bless her
she is now at Rainbow
Bridge. I wish to
god she wasn’t but
she is. I keep telling
myself she had 15
good years, but
it doesn’t make
it any easier.
I
have never know
anything quite so
heart rendering
as that fateful
trip to the vets.
She was such a little
fighter, that I
never expected or
saw it coming. She
had lung and abdominal
cancer and her bloods
were showing signs
of fatigue in both
her kidneys and
liver, so I know
this was the kindest
thing I could do.
I just can’t get
the image of her
lying asleep on
that table, out
of my mind. I miss
her so much already."
Goodnight
Decci, you were
a right little character
which I am sure
you will show all
your new friends
you meet at The
Bridge.

With
his best friend,
Sacha |
|
|
With
some of his trophries |
Where
he enjoyed it the
most |
Taken
too early and another
star in heaven tonight
and every night.
Bailey had a really
rough start in life
and was the only
survivor from Willow's
one and only litter,
my vet Nico worked
wonders on him and
he blossomed into
a really handsome
boy. Heather asked
that if he made
it, she would like
to have him and
he became her first
Maine Coon show
boy. Heather had
a lovely time showing
him and he did extremely
well until he decided
that he didn't want
to do this anymore.
Heather retired
him from the show
bench in February
of this year and
he became the housecat
that he really wanted
to be.
Here
is what Heather
had to say about
our lovely boy.
"Just a quick
note to say thank
you for letting
me have my beautiful
Bailey albeit for
such a short time
I know he is with
the other Lyndongraey
babies and there
is another bright
bright star in the
sky.
We miss him so very
much and cannot
believe he is not
around but know
he is here in spirit.
All the others I
know are missing
him as well, especially
his friend Sacha.
How the two of them
loved playing in
the garden together,
chasing each other
and trying to catch
the butterflies
and the insects
- especially Bales
- how he loved being
in the garden and
sitting by the water
feature looking
for the frogs .
You just have to
look at Sacha to
see his little face
looks so sad and
he keeps going to
the places where
Bailey usually sat
or slept. He constantly
wants to go out
into the garden
but not for long,
he runs around looking
for Bales and then
cries to come back
in. Borya, is Borya
but I know he too
is much quieter,
even Monty is not
quite his usual
grumpy self and
Ziggy has been going
round the garden
I am sure looking
for our lovely boy.
Bales was always
very respectful
of her and she always
kept/keeps an eye
out for all of them.
Thank you once again
Lynne for allowing
me to have my beautiful
boy. He will never
be forgotten. I
keep looking for
him in his special
places, watching
me from the dinning
room, sprawled out
on the couch or
on the breakfast
bar, always looking
majestic."
He
is missed so much
by us all but we
do have lovely memories
of him and thank
you Heather for
taking great care
of him, I am just
so very sorry that
it wasn't longer.
Look
after yourself Bailey
and enjoy chasing
those butterflies.
Good night sweetheart.

was a really special
boy, a one-off,
and the fact that
his life ended like
that is gut-wrenching
in the extreme.
We still can't believe
it's happened. It
may get easier to
bear in time, but
right now it doesn't
seem like it will.
We know in our hearts
though, that he
loved the life he
led, hunting in

Two
more stars in heaven
tonight as we had
to say goodbye to
our two "Golden
Oldies", Abbey
& Freya. We
have had so much
fun over the years
with these two girls,
neither of them
liked to work in
the field, especially
Freya who was very
gun-shy and hated
loud noises, but
both did well in
the show ring and
represented the
Field Spaniel breed
at many events throughout
the country but
best of all they
were wonderful family
pets who are so
badly missed by
us all. Freya was

and Ray has now

We
decided that at
14 and 15 years
old and with their
health failing that
it would be lovely

Rainbow Bridge together
but it was one of
the hardest things
we have done and
we hope that they

Ray
and I are totally
devastated to hear
the tragic news
about Woody. He
had been living
with the Cunningham
family for the past
2 years and 2 months
ago his half brother,
Buzz was introduced,
but sadly Woody
was knocked over
and is now looking
down from Rainbow
Bridge. Below is
what Paul had to
say about their
wonderful dog.
"Sorry
to have had to give
you the bad news
yesterday. Woody
was a wonderful
dog and came from
a great home, it
was a pleasure and
an honour to of
had such a nice
and loving dog,
and we have you
to thank for that.
He will be missed
very much, more
than I could ever
try and put into
words and I know
that you both know
exactly how we feel.
Well Tom asked me
to send you this
photo of him and
Woody it was at
the show this year
where they came
second in the young
handler class. Tom
was very proud of
his dog, so he asked
me to pass on this
photo to you so
he could show you
how much he loved
his dog. We cannot
thank you and Ray
enough for your
kind offer of another
puppy, may be next
year, as you will
know I can't think
about that sort
of thing at the
moment but I think
that Buzz will need
another companion
to help him, but
he seems to be coping
well at the moment.
He does go to where
we had Woody laid
over night and whimper
and cry a bit but
he will get over
it in time, I hope,
with some extra
love from the rest
of the family. Well
just to let you
know we took Woody
to be cremated today
and we have choosen
a hand carved wooden
sculpture of a dog
with a bone for
his ashes to be
put in, then we
can bring him home
and he can lay by
the fire and he
will still be with
the people he loved
and the ones that
loved him. Once
again I'm very sorry
for having to give
you such bad news,
but Woody introduced
us to what we consider
to be the BEST breed
of dog ever, and
myself and Pauline
would like to say
we think you and
Ray are a credit
to the breed, so
thankyou and we
will keep in touch."
Woody will be sorely
missed by us all
- go and find all
our other Lyndongraey
babies and look
after yourselves.

Chilli
has been living
with Natalya for
the past four and
half years, sadly
she passed away
and is now looking
down from Rainbow
Bridge. Below is
what Natalya had
to say about "Princess
Chilli".
"I
am utterly devastated,
she was a little
shining light of
love and happiness
in my life. She
brought me such
joy and life is
not the same without
her cuddling up
in bed and sending
me to sleep with
her purrs; not to
mention the chirrups
and miaows all the
time and the constant
fluffy shadow following
me everywhere and
into absolutely
everything. It will
take some time to
get used to coming
home to silence
instead of to a
happy greeting from
Chilli telling me
all about the birds
she's been watching
from the window
and shoving her
nose into whatever
bag I'm carrying.
She was curious
and playful all
the time and I shall
miss her companionship
and love of life
terribly. Her ashes
are scattered in
the gardens so she
can still watch
the birds."
She will be sorely
missed by all of
us - go and find
all our other Lyndongraey
babies and look
after yourselves
until we meet again.
Good night sweetheart.

It
is with great sadness
that we had to say goodbye
to one of our little Field
Spaniel babies,
Lyndongraey If Only on
8 June 2009 & one
little Maine Coon kitten
on 13 June 2009.
Another two stars in heaven
every night and now at
Rainbow Bridge.

Another
star in heaven tonight
and forever in my
heart. He seemed
a little flat, so
I took him to see
Nico on the Monday
and by Friday Vassiliy
told me that it
was his time to
say goodbye. He
had been diagnosed
with lymphatic cancer.
I miss you so very
much especially
your headbutts in
the morning at breakfast
- but know that
you are now looking
down from Rainbow
Bridge in perfect
health again. Go
and find all our
other Lyndongraey
babies and look
after yourselves
until we meet again.
Good night sweetheart. |

Another
star in heaven tonight
- we had to say
goodbye to our lovely
Anya today to save
her from further
suffering. She had
been diagnosed with
a very rare aggressive
cancer back in April,
so we hope we made
your last few weeks
as enjoyable as
possible.
We miss you in your
favourite spots
around the house
and garden, sitting
on the table in
the sunshine - but
know that you are
now looking down
from Rainbow Bridge
in perfect health
again.
Go and find all
our other Lyndongraey
babies and look
after yourselves
until we meet again.
Good night sweetheart. |

Freddy
December 2006 -
May 2008
|
Thank
you to everyone,
especially the train
driver who spotted
Freddy, unfortunately
he was tragically
killed on the line.
Freddy had a wonderful
life, albeit so
short. He was a
little character
and is missed by
the whole family
and will always
be remembered -
he is now looking
down from Rainbow
Bridge. |
2007
It
is with great sadness
that we had to say goodbye
to one of our little Field
Spaniel babies,
Lyndongraey Remember Me
on 31 July 2007.
Another star in heaven
on that night and now
at Rainbow Bridge.

Tragically
knocked over. Thank
you Sandra &
Sonny for giving
Charlie a great
life, albeit so
short. He was a
great character
and will always
be looking down
from Rainbow Bridge. |

5 April 2006 - 21
April 2006
|
We
had to say goodbye
to this little boy
at only 16 days
old, he had a really
rough start in life
and decided that
it wasn't for him.
Goodnight sweetheart
and I hope you are
happy at Rainbow
Bridge. |
Kara
(Lyndongraey Topaz)
27 February 2005
- 6 February 2006
|
Tragically
knocked over. Thank
you Erica &
Jack for giving
Kara a great life,
albeit so short.
She was always my
special little lady. |
2005
It
is with great sadness
that we had to say goodbye
to one of our little Field
Spaniel babies,
Lyndongraey Forgetmenot
on 8 September 2005.
Another star in heaven
on that night and now
at Rainbow Bridge.
Chester
(Milljohn
Moorlander at Lyndongraey)
15
September 1991-
6 February 2005
|
Chester
was our first Field
Spaniel, he proved
a wonderful introduction
to this vulnerable
breed. He was liver
in colour, very
handsome, our constant
companion, very
loyal and our best
friend.
Go
and find Bazil and
Neva and the three
of you behave yourselves
and enjoy comfort
and health again.
If
tears could build
a stairway and memories
a lane, I'd come
straight up to heaven
and bring you home
again. I miss you
so very much, be
happy until we meet
again at Rainbow
Bridge! |
Look
not where I was,
for I am not there
My spirit is free,
I am everywhere
In
the air that you
breathe,
in the sounds that
you hear,
Please don't cry
for me now,
my spirit is near
I'll watch you from
the other side,
I'll be the one
running,
new friends at my
side
Smile at my memory,
remember in your
heart
This isn't the end
at all,
It's a brand new
start. |

Neva
(Tiggytykes Annaneva)
17 March 2003 -
23 July 2004 |
Neva
our first Siberian,
so cruelly taken
far too early, but
a fantastic introduction
to this wonderful
breed - thank you
Neva.
Neva settled in
very quickly and
didn't stop purring
since the day she
arrived. Her breeder,
Sue Bellew, called
her a 'purr-pot'
and I have to agree
with her, she purred
to the very end.
Miss you loads;
you never knew Bazil
but find him, he
will look after
you - be happy until
we meet at Rainbow
Bridge! |

Bazil
was our first dog,
he was a very naughty
Welsh Springer Spaniel.
Loved by all who
knew him and a constant
companion to Chester.
Miss you loads;
be happy until we
meet at Rainbow
Bridge!
