A C Silver
Tabby Maine Coon Kitten,
Male: One boy entered.
1. CLAYSON’S LYNDONGRAEY
KENTUCKY. Black Classic
Silver Tabby. 29/3/10.
Handsome young man of
very pleasing type. Long
rectangular body is of
good size for five and
a half months and very
good weight, feeling firm
and well muscled with
sturdy underlying boning,
square rump and well shaped
legs ending in large rounded
paws in proportion with
slight snowshoes. Head
is slightly longer than
wide with quite good width
to high cheeks, but yet
to fill out, and good
breadth to square muzzle
which feels fairly strong.
Medium large broad based
ears are of good shape
with pointed tips, held
slightly high and with
good space between, good
inner furnishing and lynx-tips.
Large expressive rich
amber yellow eyes are
full and round, set wide
apart and slightly obliquely.
Gentle concave curve in
profile line to nose is
just deep enough, chin
is level and of quite
good depth, feeling fairly
firm. Good coat length
for age but still lengthening,
especially down sides,
texture is slightly soft
and “kittenish” at present
and top coat does not
yet flow and is a little
open and fluffy, but in
super condition and very
well prepared, small ruff
evident and slight breeches,
tail is well furnished
but lacking length to
hairs and not profuse
as yet. Black Classic
pattern contrasts against
a clear silver ground,
pattern is a little vague
along sides and rather
solid on the lower back
with no dorsal stripes
visible, however, distinct
“butterfly” motif across
shoulder and slightly
blurred oysters on flanks;
barring on legs and well
defined facial markings
with clear “M” and scarab
of forehead, tarnishing
on muzzle around nose
leather. Tail is of good
shape tapering to rounded
tip which has a very small
end “pip” discernable,
length reaches to shoulders
to balance. Relaxed, friendly
boy who showed himself
well.
